Apples and Horses and Cows, Oh My!
A NOTE ABOUT AELA AND EVA'S BLOGS:
This is a space for the girls to exercise their literacy skills. When we correct children during their early literacy acquisition, it can potentially disrupt learning. Focusing on spelling, grammar, and mechanics can slow down the heavy-duty thinking that goes into writing.
Now, my clever girls have figured out how to use spell-check, and I let them. Revision has its place, and we will work on revision, but the core intent of their blogs is to capture their thoughts. And so, for their blog posts, I do not correct their mechanics. All mistakes are their own and are intentionally left as is. All words are their own.
As for content, I give them prompts and let them go. I do not guide them or coach their answers. They also work together to title their own blog posts.
